Professional Experience
Project Management - Playa Art Park - 01/2014 to Current
Gateway Project / ARTech – Reno
In 2015 a group of art professionals and business owners partnered to bring the art of Burning Man to
Reno on an annual basis. As the Artist Advocate for Burning Man I chose a sculpture by Gary Gunderson
called Pentamonium, which was installed, in front of the Lear Theater in October 2015. In 2016 we
brought the Playa Art Park to downtown Reno. I curated the park, selecting 6 sculptures from Burning
Man and commissioning Joe C Rock to paint a Black Rock City themed mural. I fundraised the majority
of the cost from individuals, businesses and received grants from Burning Man and the City of Reno. My
responsibilities included graphic design for signage, interviews, coordination, installation and
de-installation of all sculptures. In 2020 the Playa Park had 11 sculptures including 4 from Burning Man 2019. https://artechreno.com/playa-art-park-360/
Project Management/Art Consultant - 02/2016 to Current
• The Art Commission in Davis California requested 2 of the Reno Playa Art Projects for 2 public parks.
I coordinated all aspects including art selection, contracts and installation
• Jacob’s Entertainment hired me as an art consultant in August of 2018 to select Burning Man sculptures for
their 4th Street project the Reno Neon Line. We have placed 8 sculptures since July of 2019 and will be selecting
4 more sculptures from the 2022 event to be installed in the fall.
• Washoe County is currently choosing sculptures for 3 parks based on a recent proposal and we installed the
first one in October of 2021 at the Northwest Library in Sparks, NV
• Downtown Sparks Nevada, October 2020: I worked on the selection committee of their downtown Art Walk
and coordinated all aspects of the installation of 5 sculptures.
• Tesla is currently choosing public art from a recent presentation, for their factory located in the Tahoe Reno
Industrial Center
• Art Consultant for RED, short for Reno Experience District. I presented a selection of Burning Man art for their public park; they chose 2 and commissioned one more. All were installed in August 2021
